We received a request for the construction of a disabled ramp for access to the Romania Pavilion.<\/p>\n

A tight deadline was required, but we accepted the challenge.<\/p>\n

The project was complex, as we had to meet specific requirements to ensure access for a disabled wheelchair. In particular, the ramp had to have a 5% slope and a width of 1.2 meters.<\/p>\n

We chose to use AISI 316 steel and aluminium for the ramp construction. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, ideal for use in marine environments such as the Venice Biennale. Aluminium, on the other hand, is light and easy to work with, which made it possible to realize the ramp with a low weight<\/p>\n

The construction of the ramp was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, we made the steel structure. The structure was then coated in aluminium to give it an aesthetically pleasing appearance. In the second phase, we laid the ramp in place. The ramp was fixed to the floor of the Romania Pavilion by means of steel supports.<\/p>\n

The project was completed in just 10 days.<\/p>\n

We are proud to have contributed to making the Venice Biennale a more accessible event for all.<\/p>\n

We believe that accessibility is everyone's right, including those with disabilities. For this reason, we are always working on projects that make environments more accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n

AISI 316 STEEL AND ALUMINIUM:
TWO MATERIALS, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

AISI 316 steel and aluminium are two very different materials, but both can be processed in different ways.
AISI 316 steel is a corrosion-resistant stainless steel, ideal for use in marine or industrial environments. Its machining requires the use of specific tools to ensure a good finish and optimum strength.
Aluminium is a light and easy-to-machine material, ideal for the production of various types of objects. It can be processed by various methods, including bending, welding, milling and stamping.
The choice of the most suitable processing method depends on the characteristics of the part to be made and the specific requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
