The 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, held from 26 May to 25 November 2018, saw the participation of 63 countries, including the Philippines. The Philippines pavilion, entitled ‘The City Who Had Two Navels’, was curated by Edson Cabalfin and featured works by Carlos Casas and Bas Prince in collaboration with CCA Lab Tashkent.

The structure is composed of a series of triangular main frames of different sizes and secondary aluminium calendered ribs. Everything assembled forms the outline of the work, which was then covered with a metal mesh and translucent film.
